1. Deformation processing
(1) Plastic forming processing
Plastic (forming) processing refers to the use of molds under high temperature heating to cause plastic deformation of metals under stress.
(2) Solid forming processing
Solid forming processing: refers to the use of raw materials such as metal strips, sheets, and other solid forms that can be shaped at room temperature. The input of processing costs can be relatively low.
(3) Pressure processing
The production method of obtaining raw materials, blanks, or parts with a certain shape, size, and mechanical properties by utilizing the plastic deformation generated by metal under external forces is called pressure processing.
The basic methods of pressure processing include forging, sheet metal stamping, rolling, extrusion, and drawing.
(4) Powder metallurgy
Powder metallurgy is a process that can process both Ferrous and nonferrous metal components. This includes two basic processes: mixing alloy powder and pressing the mixture into the mold. Metal particles are formed by high-temperature heating and sintering. This process does not require machine processing, and the utilization rate of raw materials can reach 97%. Different metal powders can be used to fill different parts of the mold.
2. Cutting processing
Manufacturing of parts with high precision requirements for size, shape, and position, as well as finer surface roughness, usually adopts cutting processing methods.
A metal cutting machine tool is a device that uses cutting tools to cut metal blanks, commonly referred to as a machine tool.
3. Grinding processing
(1) Concepts
Grinding is a processing method that uses abrasives to remove materials.
(2) Classification
Usually classified by tool type, it can be divided into two categories: using fixed abrasive machining and using free abrasive machining.
Generally speaking, grinding mainly refers to the process of removing materials using grinding wheels or abrasive belts, which is a widely used, efficient and precise final processing method.
4. Welding
(1) Concepts
Welding is a process method for permanently connecting metal materials. The essence of the welding process is to use heating or pressure and other means to firmly connect the separated metal materials by virtue of the combination and Diffusion of metal atoms.
(2) Classification
According to the characteristics of welding process, it can be divided into three categories: Fusion welding, pressure welding and brazing.
5. Surface treatment
Heat treatment is a process of heating and cooling a metal under certain conditions to achieve certain mechanical or chemical properties.
The main purpose of heat treatment for metal parts is to:
Improve hardness, strength, and wear resistance
Reduce hardness for easy machining
Eliminating internal stress caused during processing
Improve surface wear and corrosion resistance
